Summer Pasta Series
This summer, I embarked on the "Summer Pasta Series", a creative exploration of pasta dishes using a limited color palette. Inspired by the simplicity and beauty of pasta, I set out to design a series of illustrations that highlight the shapes, textures, and personality of different pasta types, all while restricting my color choices to create a cohesive and minimalist collection. The use of a limited color palette challenged me to focus on form, contrast, and composition rather than relying on the vibrancy of typical food illustrations. The series reflects the simplicity and elegance of both the dishes themselves and the design process. Through this project, I aimed to explore how minimalism in color could still evoke the richness of flavor and the diverse forms of pasta. It was an exercise in restraint and creativity, allowing me to experiment with balance, negative space, and how small shifts in tone can completely alter the mood of a piece.
